Arupadai Veedu - Murugan Temples, Tamilnadu Trip

The wait is over. One of the most memorable pilgrim tour of Lord Subramanya (Arupadi Veedu Temples - Tiruttani, Swamimalai, Pazhamudircholai,Tirupparankundram, Tiruchendur and Palani )visited.
Heard about these temples and never had an opportunity to visit all of them. Last time we could only cover Swamimalai and Palani. This time did some research and planned it to cover exclusively to these temples and on this route if any other temples, those will be bonus for us.

Here is our route map:

Day-1: Started from Bangalore towards Tiruttani. Since we had started little late so we reached Tiruttani by 7pm. Opposite to temple we got accommodation to stay for tonight. Just beside the rooms and opposite to temple entrance had nice food, chef was so nice as dosa was cut into the square shape pieces and so tasty.

After having early morning darshan started towards Kumbakonam for our next temple. On the way we visited Sri Kamakshi Amman Temple, Kanchipuram.

We are almost close to Chidambaram (37KM) so visited Nataraja swamy Temple on our way

Reached Kumbakonam and stayed overnight. Due to holidays season, rooms were full and managed to get accommodation.

Day-2: Early morning started to Swamimalai. One of the most memorable darshan of Lord Murugan. We are lucky to glimpse the chandana abhishek of Lord Murugan. Felt like once in life time opportunity to have such kind of darshan. Very much blessed. crowd is normal here.

Temple History:

As per our schedule we are on track to cover the Pazhamudircholai and Tirupparankundram on the same day. Both of these places are opposite directions from Madurai. From the highway before reaching to Madurai, we need to take a U turn and drive towards Melur. From Melur there is sign board where its written as Alghar Koil and above hill will be the pazgamudircholai Murugan temple. The crowd was heavy due to margasira masam and also lot of devotees of om shakthi , murugan and ayyappa maladharana visiting all of these places. Luckily the temple was open full day so who had great darshan of Lord Murugan. And also served by lunch in the temple premises. Down there is another temple called Algar Koil but it was closed and opens at 4pm so we could not able to cover because we need to reach out to Tirupparankundram and drive towards Tiruchendur for night halt.

Temple History:

Since we are near by Meenakshi Temple (8KM) tried visiting, but due to heavy rush and unable to get the parking place near by temple (after waiting for an hour) then we decided to head towards Tiruchendur. By that time we reached Tiruchendur, it was around 10pm. On our way at Authur we had our dinner at Mani Veg Restaurant. Very tasty and felt while returning also we should have our food from here only.

Day-3: Morning we had Tiruchendur Murugan Temple darshan. gents are not allowed with shirt inside the temple. This is the only temple which has the sea port and so beautiful. One must visit at least once in a life time.

Our last destination was Palani. After having our food at Mani Restaurant, headed towards Palani. Reached around 3pm. This time we all took the stairs to climb the Palani hill. The crowd was very normal. Had great darshan of Palani Murugan. Spent some time in the temple premise and started back to Bangalore and reached mid night to home.
