Ghati Subramanya and Lepakshi Trip

We want to visit Lepakshi after knowing all about its history. We made a day trip by covering Ghati Subramanya temple on the way to Lepakshi.

Ghati Subramanya temple is known for Naga Kshetra. Devotees offer prayers to Lord Subramanya and pour milk in the anthill located in front of the temple. This temple has more than 600 years of history.

As per the legends Ghati is the place where Lord Subramanya performed a strict penance in the guise of a serpent. He did penance on this hill ranges before battling with the demon Tharakasura. The word Ghati was derived from Sanskrit, which means pot. A serpent's hood resembles that of a pot and it is the place where the Lord lived in the form of a seven hooded snake.

Nandi was other side of the Veerabhadra temple. Now its time for lunch. when we enquired about any food stalls/restaurants we were told near by Nandi. There is one APTourism office where we can have our food. Food was very nice. They also serve 3 times in a day and accommodation as well both Ac and Non Ac rooms.
