Its been very long time, that we had gone out. This time we visited the most famous temples in Bangalore - Ragi Guddada Hanuman Temple, Recently happened to see this temple main road's arch while going to Kengiri route. Finally got a chance to visit this temple today. Started early morning and reached to temple by 8:30am. The atmosphere was awesome full of greenery around the temple and mainly its on the top of big stones.. A must visit with family ! Its located in Jaya Nagar 9th Block, Bangalore.
The temple also hosts a Shivalinga along with Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, Hanuman shrine in the same precinct
The history behind the name of the temple is as fantasizing as Hanuman Leelas. It is believed that a big heap of Ragi (a food grain) turned out to become a stone, hence the name “Ragigudda”.
There are few dogs roaming around, i have some biscuits in my purse, they were enjoyed....
Monkeys around the temple playing like this
At the time of incidence The Thrimurthies, Lord Brahma, Vishnu, Maheshwara who visited the place, wished to stay there permanently changing themselves into 3 big stones pillars. Their presence here stands as a witness to all the developments so far, and for the future developments.
