Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Bangaru Tirupathi, Kolar, Karanataka

Visited swayambhu Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Kolar.

Lord Venkateswara idol in this temple is facing window instead of gate or door as seen in any other temples. This small attractive idols has to be viewed from the six -holed window

History:

Once Bhrugu Maharshi visited Lord Vishnu at Vykunta, Vishnu was reposing on Adisesha with Sri Mahalakshmi in service at his feet and did not notice Bhrigu.
Finding that Lord Vishnu did not notice him the sage was infuriated and kicked the lord on his chest, the place where mahalakshmi resides. Vishnu in an attempt to pacify the sage, got hold of the legs of the sage and started to press them gently in a way that was comforting to the sage. During this act, he squeezed the extra eye that was present in the sole of Bhrigu's foot. The extra eye is believed to represent the sage's egotism. The sage then realized his grave mistake and apologized to Vishnu and requested to moksha. Lord Vishnu asked him to have his darshan on the earth. Then Bhrugu came to this place and performed tapas for Lord Vishnu and established lord Venkateswara idol here.

Next day morning, visited to Shani Singanapur. This time there is no provision for devotees to pour oil on to the Shani dev, and they have made an alternative which we need to pour oil in a separate mesh type container and that gets filtered and will be connected on the top of the Shani dev on daily basis....
